Here are a few facts and FAQs...

Where were you born?

Penzance, Cornwall in the UK.

Have you always lived there?

No, I've lived all over the place including the Middle East and Cyprus.

Where do you live now?

In a converted chapel, on a hill, in Wilshire.

Do you have any children?

A grown up daughter and a grown up son plus two grandchildren.

Any pets?

Two black rescue cats named Stanley and Milo.

Do you have any writing qualifications?

Yes. A Masters Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Wales, Trinity St David and a second Masters in Writing for Young People from Bath Spa University.

What did you do before you were a writer?

Ooh lots. I worked in a stationery shop, as a receptionist for a builder's merchant, a doctor's receptionist, had my own guest house in a fishing village called Mousehole in Cornwall. I was a library assistant at the American School of Dubai, taught conversational English to local girls in Sharjah, had a holiday park in North Wales and then three holiday apartments and a fishing lake in West Wales. 


Where do you write?

I've got a lovely little corner in my sitting room next to the huge arched window. There.

What are you working on now?

I'm working on two books - both mysteries. One called 'The Whisper Wood' and one called 'The Black Peacock'.
